I started mapping for source, now that I have a computer that can run it well. I noticed in Hammer, when I hold down shift to rotate an object, it doesn't rotate in the 15 degree intervals, it rotates freely. Is that "shift" rotate trick only in the old Hammer?

You can select whether you want this on or off in the options as I recall. At least you can in Hammer 3.4.

Ok I'll give it a look. I realized after I posted that this could just have gone in the shoutbox, but whatever.

You have to turn on "Default to 15 degree rotations". It means you don't have to hold Shift when you want to lock the rotations. Holding it after you've ticked this options toggles it off so you can freely rotate.

Thank you for clarifying, Ant. I just found the box and checked it.
