what any program like fraps do you know ? Is it for free ? I need a free advanced screen recording software . There is one called cam studio , but the records are poor.

download a cracked version of fraps, its pretty easy to get a new version...

And alexb911 , that version of fraps doesn't work , it doesn't launch .

fraps is your best chance for opengl recording, screen cameras suck ass.

I just tried to re-install FRAPS from that exact file, worked fine. What do you mean by doesn't launch? The installer or program?

If it's the cracked version of Fraps I'm thinking of, I think it needs to be placed in C:program files for some weird reason. At least, that's what I discerned from looking at the comments.

Source has an internal recorder that's a kuhjillion times better than FRAPS. Google "Source Recorder Tutorial" or something and you'll figure it out.

If it's like the goldsource recorder, it will take many screenshots in numbered order which can then be compiled into a movie using programs such as videomach. This doesn't record sound however. Also I think he wants it to record cs 1.6 clips.
if so, use this command
startmovie "movie name here" "fps"
example: startmovie frags 35
then to stop, type: endmovie
then just wait for it to take all the screenshots, and find them in your cstrike directory. Import them to a program such as videomach and then you can compile it.

The Source one does record sound. I've used it in the past: it's preferable for machinima stuff anyway.
