Nice, though would have looked better without HUD.

What... Vista? :P

That really can't be that easy to actually use?

Vista makes even XP seem brilliant.

Clean PC is clean, although you could do with a bit of MSCONFIG work.

Although awesome shot! :D

I was thinking about switching to Ubuntu recently, actually. What the situation on game compatibility?
Posted 16 years ago2008-02-09 21:00:28 UTC Post #245398
Uh, as it's always been with linux? Developers still gleefully ignore OpenGL. "Emulation" through Wine or prefferably Cedega is nice, but not perfect.

Strideh: That's a pretty neat background image, do link.

Pfffft whatever! :P ;) (Arent Ubuntu and Fedora both based on Gnome anyway?)

And yes, Compiz-Fusion is fun, in fact, probably WAY over the top actualy!

As for gaming on Linux, well, I've never had much luck with Wine, but that is probably just me. You probably somehow have to link to the DirectX libraries or something.

My bud uses Linux Mint, and he has been having some luck lately with wine. Says the latest update is working wonders.

I've always hated the idea of the start bar going across the bottom of one screen and not go across the second.

I've photoshopped the bar across the background image so it looks like it goes on.. heh.

I still wish it was like a make though in a sense.. the dock doesn't go all the way across the screen.

i actually like how it only goes across one screen. i can use the other screen fullscreen then.

I used to run dual monitors, which included my 19" LCD and a 17" CRT, but it just took up too much space and the dimension difference was awkward.
At my brother work he has three monitors, all 22"ers. He showed me some people with 5 monitors!
He works as a software engineer/developer.
