greetings.

I have a small request. For school work, my design class, I am doing a folio based on architecture in which I am suppose to design some sort of gallery building.

Of course, gathering inspiration and displaying it through my own developed ideas is necessary for the best mark possible.

I am sure a few of you have probably done this sort of work before, anyway, I am asking for any buildings you may know of that you would refer to as master pieces.

Know of any great buildings old/new?

I was also thinking of using source as a way to show 3D renders, since I am very confident with geometry in hammer. Has anyone ever done this? Is it a bad idea?

this means a lot to me
any contributions are greatly appreciated!

Google is your friend!

When I want to make a map within specific guidelines, such as a swimming pool, my favourite port of call are Artist's impressions. Their so clean and focused, so if I can use one of them for ideas, I do.

Take a look at this one, I used a lot of ideas from it for my Pool Compo Map...

ViennaSlide has a huge collection of stock photos of some of the worlds most amazing buildings.

Go to Archives, then Search Tree. It's all in German at the moment, but it's easy enough to navigate the tree and just stumble upon some great architecture ("Architektur" > "Architektur in Paris" would have to be one of my favourites).

Holy shit, thanks Strideh, german isn't a problem, I study the language anyway. Also thanks alex, I think I am the one who is going to have to be making the artists impressions though.

I might try and get some sketches up when I actually do them :P
