Does anyone here use AutoCad?

Please PM me if you do, for a couple questions...

Also, any AutoCad users feel free to share your thoughts about the program or anything related... I might have to start using this everyday, and I'm curious!

Last time I used a dedicated CAD program, it was about 15 or 16 years ago when I was in the military. And it wasn't even the Autodesk CAD program, it was some cheap 2D CAD editor. Now, I do have the CAD edition of Deep Exploration, which is perhaps the best, universal 3D formats converter out there, but with a focus on CAD files. I sometimes on occasion like to import and export CAD models to other 3D formats. I am not saying that I am some CAD expert, far from it, but depending on your questions, I might be able to help you.

Haven't used it in a year, so I'll try the best I can.

I use autocad every day at uni
It's version 2008 but what questions do you have?

Takes a little time to really get to know how to use each tool.
Every function has it's own little way of messing up, i often keep my hands hovering over the ctrl - z buttons to undo mistakes.

It's really customizable so you can set it up the way you want, and it'll be there every time you go to load it.

And if you're doing something really in-depth with lots and lots of layers, learn how to freeze layers (just a simple click) to save your Processor some work.

Mines 2008, although I disagree with the "messing up". I dont get that many problems =/

Well most of my problems come from the crappy auto-snaps.

Of course, I check back to the snap options quite regularly without thinking about it is my deal, I suppose.

I haven't used the 3-D part. Our instructor's head is too far up his ass for him to teach it to us, but i can basically do anything in 2-D.
It's really quite simple to pick up.
