Since you all seem to be well experienced mappers I was wondering is any of you have any Ideas on how you would go about mapping for Natural-Selection. : I noticed the topic earlier about single player for CS. I do know how to map for half-life, I may not be the best or most creative mapper but i do know how to map. Anyway I was just wondering if any of you had gone over any thought about it, if you played the game. Some people have tried making single player maps for it but they were only, ah..... ......."n00b" mappers. Not it has been discussed at the natural selection mapping forum(http://www.natural-selection.org/forums/) about this every once in a while. I was curious about any thought you guys may have thought of to get around the problems you would have for mapping for NS.

I was generally thinking If any of you guys had thought about getting around the problems for mapping single player for ns I could get some people together to create a fun little single player training map or series of maps.

Just wondering, any help would be appriciated.

Try transposing my 'unique' style of humour (which should probably also be in inverted commas) seen on these forums, onto a fiercly over modererated forum with thousands upon thousand of users - where one can frequently find the off-topic forum actually has limits.

Me + Americans never works out well anyway, although Im perhaps slightly hypocritical in this statement, dry humour and sarcasm are never fully understood by our friends across the pond.

Bit sad given how much time I had invested in the mod, was looking to become a team member until I realised just how unwelcome I was. I dont know if the topic is still there (nor do I care really), but way back when NS was only just released (had been a member since it was envisioned ffs!) there was a thread about a custom map for it that I quite rightly slated for being dull, lifeless and nowhere near even remotely finished. However, not knowing how well respected this bloke was in the community, the backlash I recieved was more than unfair, thus began the downward spiral till I didn't really care anymore, NS2.0 was released, and I stopped playing entirely.

Shame really, such promise, but all mods eventually go the way of simplification to gain a greater community - counterstike players (ffs).

Ah well. But I couldnt agree with you more on the American issue. They never do understand surreal humour. They just do things in reply like 'wtf' etc. I bet they dont even laugh at the fast show!

"someones already doing it....+ u don't have permission so u wouldn't be able to"

Dont have permission? lol, why would I need "permission" what are they going to do? I can screw with it on my computer all I want they cant do anything about it, and since when do you need permission to build maps for these mods anyway? ding! ah! you dont!
lol

and anyway I've given up discussing on these forums, you guys just go off on your own little discusions forgetting the topic entirely and giving no good input what so ever, just blabing why you were mistreated.

Just jobabob complaining.

Besides, I recon the NS team won't be too happy if you release a hacked version of their mod.
