Various sites are reporting that The Sims 3 has been leaked. It was set to realease on June 2nd.

... and a leak of a game is nothing surprising. Look at Spore. Leaked a few days before it's expected release.

Games getting leaked before their official launch is something that's always going to happen, there's just too much corruption out there. And when they do come out on the commercial market, they always for sure get cracked and end up on the torrent circuit anyway.

Of course, the most famous example of something getting leaked way before the official launch, has to be the Wolverine movie. This was something the news media jumped all over, it was just unprecedented that a perfect, high quality copy of a major motion picture got stolen like that many weeks before hitting theaters. I wonder if they ever caught the guy....

I don't mind. Because I probably don't have enough computer power to run it anyway!

The other day I heard of someone who got the Wolverine movie before its release, and it turned out all the scenes were pre-cgi. Must have been awesome

Well first, my avatar is the ownage Luke lol. But yea X-Men Origins was the best leak I have ever seen, not only was it nearly finished but you got to see some of the scenes before CGI so it was very interesting. I will still be buying TS3 when it comes out, but an early chance to play it won't be bad :).

Could be the developers themselves who "leaked" it just to hype it.

But then most people would download it instead of buying it. Not very smart.
