Check out this strange case.

I have never seen or heard anything like her, but it's truly fascinating.

It reminds me of the movie "Benjamin Button".

Anyway, interesting case. If humanity will reach the state of "undead" , then Terra will reach the state of "dead".

It is very sad that this child will most likely get exploited by medical experts working for the pharmaceutical industry to try to "extract" the secretes of the supposedly perceived "fountain of youth" mystery. And as for the child's condition that gives her the illusion of "eternal youth", that's all it is, an illusion. With out a doubt, this is a very sick child on a very deep level that's yet to be fully understood by the medical community due to her condition being so exotic.

Right the day they find that out and think of selling such a thing, I'll personally help them to die.

Imagine a god mode Hitler - he'll live long enough to find out how to noclip too! That will be a new and very long chapter of human history...

If this breaks through, this will really make people NOT want to have children. Parents would have to take care of them for 200 years or so.

Also, average life is about 70 according to the 2008 estimate. That's about 840 of her years! If you live to be 90 that makes it over a 1000.

Don't forget that women also go on their periods for 1 week out of the month. In turn would be 4 months out of the year. We would have to set aside a mating season or something...

Also, have the body be "out of synch" seems unhealthy and unnatural to begin with.

Oh one more... try being pregnant for 9 years.

People want to develope normally, but live forever. 1 year = 1 month isn't the answer.

Maybe if they just switch the gene on once someone reaches... say 25 years old? That way the women stay smokin hot (assuming they were already so) forever

Or just, you know, stop trying to be god. People are supposed to die, that's why we do. People are supposed to age, that's why we do.
And if you live forever, you'll get bored real fast.

She's not really just young and normal. She does not talk and she probably can never walk.

I don't want to live like that.

Not as much as you'd be complaining if it didn't.

But seriously, this child is probably aging like everyone else, and will likely die at the same age as most people do, if not drastically sooner considering her condition. I don't know why everyone's jumping to the conclusion that this growth abnormality will result in a longer lifespan.

On topic, I feel bad for the family. Imagine taking care of a baby.. forever.. Most people only have to deal with it for like.. 2-3 years. But 16 years plus!? It's gotta get exhausting.

That gives all her sisters the opportunity to play babysitter as much as they want. Don't all little girls love that? It should give them an awesome +20 babycare experience like noone's had before! By the time they have one of their own, they'll take care of it properly without even noticing.

Bet they'll be shocked when their children actually grow up
