heres a screenshot for a mockup TD game. (its in a blizzard area)

Any ideas would be great!
So far we thought about:

-Have turrets to build, also have Tanks and hummers you can buy (upgrade) that you will be able to drive and fire.

-Turrets will be upgradeable.

-Plains and helicopters will not follow the chosen path for a more realistic attack.

Any other ideas would be great!

We also thought about making a 3d version for PC, and a 2D for the PSP.

Won't be easy to churn out something new & unique from the already-milked TD subgenre. Good luck with it though, the scenery looks fairly well. :]

as of now, it's just me and a buddy in my class. Once with have the game proposal done (5 Pages) then we can give it too 'the game garage' in which me, marshall and a team of programmers will be working on it.. but mind you, this is only a mock-up, the programmers or other artist might have another idea.

Right now we are just using Maya to create, and render for mock up scenes.

Mortar fire that the player controls and can upgrade. It could be controlled on a Yaw, Pitch, and Power setup. (think golfing games) This would lob a variety of things at invading units, like fire-ring bombs, ice bombs, toxic waste barrels that poison them, nukes, etc. whatever you can think of.

Just a thought. +2 cents.

yes we are planning on doing this for boss battles, examples;

The player will control power and Yaw, then fire, trying to hit the boss. Then the boss will do the same to the player. Until ones dead.

the other is where your unit will drive forward somany blocks, then they'll have the chance to either fire, or wait. Once chosen, its the bosses turn.

There will also be cards to play throughout the game that'll you'll recieve as bonus cards. (Airstrike upgrades etc)

the cab of that truck seems big. especially where the trucks are pretty small on the screen, i'd make the rockets on the back more prominent. great stuff all around.

give the snowmobiles headlamps too! those fuckers would be impossible to see.
