i've installed si some time ago but there was no servers that i could play, so i've simply copied mod's folder from standard hl into steam hl. And it appears like i've run hl in menu but there are si servers and everything. BUT i cannot join any game or create my own, it reads "parsing server info" all the time and nothing is doing. i've tried to run hl server, everything is ok. Pls tell me how to instal that damn thingy on steam

Reinstall? Or tell me the version you are running...most people, myself included, play .97b, if you have an earlier version, update.

Yeah, I'd reinstall for steam. Otherwise, give it some time to parse teh server info or whatever. It takes a lil while.

reinstal not helps, nothing helps... si cannot be played under steam i think. Is there any easy way to find si servers? (on steam there are many showing up, how to find those? by ip? is it a good way? is there anyway i can do this faster?)

I can play it under Steam.....so its not an issue with that. Seems more like a connection issue; "Cannot connect to server." I have no idea why it would not work; try disabling your Firewall/Virus Scanner if you have one, and try hosting a game yourself and see if it works.

Recommendation: never ever turn off your firewall.

I get net_sendpacket and WSAEINTR errors with McAfee on. It shouldn't be too harmful if you disable it for a little while. If you have a built-in firewall, or one thats on a network, leave it, I'm talking about things like Zonealarm and McAfee Personal FW.
