Ok, whoever has played Absolute Redemption can probably answer this for me. At the beginning when the gman is telling you about the 3 telnorps he keeps blabbing on about zome race called the Zan. Who are the Zan?

the Zen's enemy. the telnorps aperently sealed the portal between ZEN and ZAN. when they were stolen the portal was opened, and freeman had to get them back.

hehe, Redemption, played through that. Sort of stopped playing though after I killed the assassins in the Chinese Temple.

You gotta finish it man! Its an awesome game!

The fairground level was fun

yeah, Half Park. Thats the most fun part of the game, its a shame its also the shortest.

It's a giant hedge maze with rides!

i never got farther in the park. always stuck

You have to make it to the ferris wheel, then into the spinny thing, then follow the path to the uufo (one path, easy to find). Activate everything in the ufo and leave the park.

It's a bit of a mish mash this mod though, first you go to stonehenge, and then to somewhere in the himilayas (< lol dont know the correct spelling)

Theres a point to all that, didnt you listen to the Gman when you first played the game? Didn't you read the intro with all the meteors hitting each other? If not here:

And so it was that the prophecy came to pass, and the weakened Xen were
powerless to resist an onslaught from the Zan. In the dawn of the first
Ashaan of Xen time, the elders of the high council sanctioned an uneasy
alliance with the perpetrators of the impending disaster, the Human race,
in order to restore the sacred telnorps, and thus sealing the Zan gateway...
.....forever.
The ambassador of the alien Investigation unit on earth was called upon
to "redeem" the situation by employing the use of the very individual who
had inadvertently been the cause.

Get Half Life Model Viewer and listen to the Gman's speech, you'll realize why you are going from place to place so fast.

Im pretty sure the point of the game is for Gordon to actually save the Xen from th Zan and bring the telnorps back to Xen so Nihilanth can be reborn and restore order.

the gman talked at the start? where? i just opened the pak and listened to the files there.

For some strange reason it oly happens the first time you play the game, after that it just skips the whole thing. Reinstall and you can see it again.

it didnt happen at all for me. i just started in the room with the door closing. i noclipped into it. nothing behind it.
