Without steam, valve would still bring out updates for the normal HL version.
This is what I hate most about steam. If you want the new features in your SP mod, you must build it on steam.

That's veeery strange. You can make a mod for steam if you want AND you don't need to download hl patches all the time. It's just easier. I just don't know what are you talking about : I think that you're just bad

Steam has exactly the same features as normal HL. As it needs no new fgd files. The only difference modding wise is the menu gfx and folder layout.

I can run Steam fine on Pentium 2 233Mhz with 160mb of ram and 100kb connection you fools! It's better to have better comp ofcourse. BTW what do you think about ==> THAT <== Damn, it looks good! I'm going to upgrade when that thing comes out.
