What video setting shoud you use for NS? And what should you have for your computer to get the most out of this setting?
What can you do also to get it not to lagggg so much?

1. I have everything on1024x800 I think, but i could pump it alot higher, thats a thought why do u keep it on this?, when i could put it higher?
2.:
-get better graphics card
-lower the graphics
-get better connection
-join low ping servers
-get better comp

Requires
OpenGL or Direct3D rendering to play.
As for lag, if it's a video issue, then upgrade your card or PC, or get a better connection as G_Kid suggested.

I have dsl connection, thats fine. I am also using OpenGL, but what exactly is Direct3D?

Direct 3D is I think:
Graphics are like open GL but sprites and lighting are rendered like software, so you get less lag. I have to run direct 3d on my computer for natural selection

Direct3d uses the Hardware renderer on your video card.

D3D doesnt show decals - blood, bulletholes etcetra. Its the only difference I can think of
