If you're on IRC or in a messenger convo, it's understandable to write as fast as possible, with expressions such as u, r, 2, ur etc.
When in a forum, on the other hand, where you don't have to post fast and hopefully isn't under kind of stress, it should be obligatory to use full words and comprehensible grammar.

People who talk like that are just strange. If somone ever talks like that to me on aim, I just close the window. If someone posts in the forums like that, I ignore them.

As for me, I try to type quickly and correctly on both the forums and IRC. It's good practice.

We all try to type fast...and for the most part we all spell badly when we do. But you should read it before you press post or [return].

Yea, but sometimes you just dont think to read through what you have put before you post. Hence typo's Oh sorry, Typing errors.

Way I see it, so long as you understand what someone is saying it doesnt matter how they communicated it. But I agree using 1337 speak on forums in place of ususal writing is just plain lazy.

On the other hand, it comes in handy sometimes for getting points accross. 'E.G. OMFG WTF TYCELL IS TEH 1337 H4X0RZ!'

I will post, with as much grammer as I can! but I dont mind the grammer so much as the spelling!!!!!!!!! The spelling guys, come on atleast get the spelling right(their is the program word web on the net no excuse) even with out great grammer myself, I get the spelling right. atleast do that please
