No one mentioned "NOLF" series yet? It's an old game, but I'm still replaying it every now and then. It's got humor where no other FPS game has (and the jokes are actually pretty good). What about using a banana for a weapon?

What about the "Unreal" series? How can people forget that?

The attention to detail is just mesmerizing.

May I ask what exactly is wrong with FF games?

Have a good look at them.

FF7's graphics were brilliant for its time. It also had probably THE or one of the best storylines of any game I haven't played.

And of the others, they all had very original storylines. I'm interested to see WHICH of the FFs you have played, and if you have played them all, why did you bother playing the next one if you didn't like the last? Doesn't make much sense to me.

And perhaps you should learn how to spell before you go on complaining about games?

Asteriods... but I guess this, like music, depends on what era you grew up in.

What exactly is that meant to mean? If you don't like it, why do you continue to play it?

How can they be over-played? The extreme length to it just adds to the proud feeling you get when you finally finish it.

Each new FF game has a brand new storyline, so it's not exactly repetative, which means it's just like a new game.

So obviously, I really disagree with you here. I'm not one of those obsessed freaks, but in my eyes, the brilliance of Final Fantasy is what each RPG should try and achieve.

Think about it. How many storylines are even close to the great ones of Final Fantasy. Sooooo many RPG's have repetative and recycled storylines. Too many in fact.

I would love to hear of an RPG better than Final Fantasy. There are, of course, some that rival it, but in my eyes, each of the FF series are probably the best RPGs I have ever played, and come close to one of my favourite games of all time.

FPS - Shadow Warrior
RTS - Star Craft
TBS - UFO series (AKA X-Com)
Simulation - Outpost (err, not exactly a sum, but how would you call this colony builder?)
Sidescroller - LodeRunner

I think the lenght of all these FF games is what makes them look bad for the fans of other genres. And the number of the games too (twelve of them so far if I'm not worng).

You have to realise that the first 6 were SNES games, and were only in Japanese if I indeed am correct.

The first couple of them were released on GBA in English though, I think.

Still, It's not the number of them that matters. It's the QUALITY that each of them has.
