Sigh... I've been hacked and my registry is destroyed :
My ignorance has cost me my computer :
I have to re-install my operating system and all of my software.
Since steam requires your CD keys, and once they have been is entered cannot be entered again, does that mean that I cannot install Half life and Half life two again?

i thought the same thing when i bought hl2 via steam and realised that what if i lost my data or it crahsed then what would i do but it took me a while to realise that!

you would just have to d-l it again. Thast why it asks you for the CD key at the end of the install.
