Try a prop_ragdoll with one of the NPC models?

;) clever never would have thought of that

it seems a lot of people are finding it difficult to map for source with the new entities except rabid :0

i dont see whats so hard about them really but thats just me (bragging again :P )

I did that, but he looked a bit... odd. Maybe I should drop him over something.

Yeah, let it start above the ground a bit and have 'im fall onto something. Ragdoll props are a bit strange, they take a bit of position tweaking to make 'em look proper.

you could use the ragdoll on pipes and stuff so that the body will fall towrds it e.g. a big hole below and rails stopping them from falling so the ragdoll helps it fall

If you're going to have it on a flat surface, you could try rotating the entity forward/backward and left/right, so the ragdoll drops different.

I've used a simple way for CS (http://twhl.co.za/forums.php?action=viewthread&str=dead+body&type=1&pg=1&id=5704)

I'm not very sure, but I believe this applies to HL2 also.

I'd say it's slightly outdated for HL2, too, Ragdoll bodies are the way to go. Or static ones in poses. I don't think HL2 models have static death poses.

Good idea for HL1, though.

Sorry, I'm not in HL2 at all, I've added this link to the thread in HL1 forum just in case.
