Where could i find a quake 2 FGD cos i wanted q2 for Xmas , now i've got it. Also , if Quake 2 uses a different texture file , could i get a patch to make V.H Support it.

Look in RUST. It has many tutorials on Quake II mapping and a forum with people that map for it too! 
(I think) You want find lots of help in here, this site is on Hl.
Play the game before you map, it's a great gam, funner even then Hl1! I guarantee.
