In the editor views, when you have a brush selected... I could swear that when you hold down the SHIFT key and tap an arrow key, it copies the selection to the next grid step's location.

Am I wrong?

I think you need to enable 'nudging'
Should be in the options somewhere... maybe in the 2-D views tab?

Tetsu0 is correct.

Once "nudging" is enabled, you can hold the SHIFT key and use the ARROW keys to move/duplicate a brush, but you can also use the mouse/SHIFT key to do the same thing ;)

Nudging is great too, because you can move individual verticies whilst using Vertex Manipulation :)

I've never ever seen the arrows duplicate a brush. even with nudging on.

Yes. Shift + Moving the selection clones it.

He wanted to know if Shift+Nudging clones objects not Shift+Transalation.

I just tested it, shift + the arrows doesn't clone in 3.5

shift + mouse dragging does.

So based on M_gargantua's post, Yes. You are wrong.
What's so bad about Shift + Dragging anyway?

Either way, nudging is always fun
