Here's an idea, have a feature section with some works chosen from the community on display, like a showcase of the talent. Perhaps even work some screenshots of the TWHL community maps into the banner or something.

Unless you people are willing to pay for new hosting, we aren't moving from this domain. None of us are paid to be mods, and atom does not make any money from the site. I don't think we'll stoop as low as Google ads either.

Just had an idea, since everyone's using last.fm nowadays couldn't we have an official Now Playing section which would show the latest songs played by users?
All the feeds from audioscrobbler are there, shouldn't be too hard.

hmm... its hard to establish senority without a point system to prove it. I think we all in a way succumb to the "login count."
If you do use a sort of karma system, perhaps call it something like adoration, appreciation, or reverence. Make it limited, like each member can spend 1 point every 24 hours, and don't allow negative points, keep it simple. much like the journals.
speaking of which, i only use my journal as a form of headline for accomplishments, like a new map, the turnstile demo, or the like. There should be more "recent" things on the front page, instead of only 2 recent maps 4 or even 6 would be much better, or maybe user headlines for demos, models, and other miscellaneous content that's available.
A place for our wads and models would be nice. A content vault where we can link our models and such to.

Not like it would take more room, it would simply organize things.

hmm... since you put it that way, it might be good too, but i don't want people to get evil. Someone could create several accounts and drop the points of a person until their out. Email activation would win this problem. Selling memberships would cut out the crap entirely.
Maybe crowbars or hammers instead of tits, though who would want to give out free tits, i'd keep all mine for myself

What I suggested at H.I.T. Is 3=1 so to speak. Another words, in order to get a point, you would have to get members to give you 3 points, equaling 1. So it's a bit more of a democracy.
