Camel - Drafted

Currently my favourite song. Amazing musical performance and brilliant lyrics.

Wow, this is good. When it started I was like "well the slow melody is a bit predictable" then the bit at 1:53 happened and I ate my words.

My reaction exactly when I heard it the first time. I almost fell off my stool. It's from their album Nude, which is mostly instrumental, but really good music for just listening and enjoying. They've got another album which in my opinion is even better called Stationary Traveller. It's amazing.

Heard this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e-IWRmpefzE on Breaking Bad, been working my way through it from the start for the past few weeks. That show is like a drug, no joke. It's more dramatic than I usually like, it's made me laugh out loud alone in my room and moved me almost(almost) to tears. Coming from an overly proud and self-conscious dude that's as good as it gets.

If you've never seen it, pirate season one. You'll then go buy season two DVD. Four days later you'll go buy season 3, then three days later you'll go buy season 4. Then you'll pirate season 5 because it's not on DVD yet. Then you'll camp out just to buy it when it's out even though you've already seen it.

You know how annoying it is when you've got a tune stuck in your head for a few hours, and you can't remember what it's called or where you originally heard it? It's annoying isn't it.
Try two years.
That tune was driving me mad.
Luckily I heard it on the radio yesterday and I finally found out what it was called. For some reason I had been under the impression that the song was from the mid-to-late 90's.
Posted 7 years ago2012-10-10 02:00:38 UTC Post #310300
ya it kinda sounds like it could be an eighties or early nineties tune, and the band/singer is on the tip of the tounge.. it's maddening how the most inane music can get ingrained in your brain..

after watching the firefly series, i could not get that fucking song out of my head for months and months, and i would sing it every morning in the shower; i don't even like the theme at all, it just stuck on me =)

The Americana album as a whole. One of my favorite albums. He who skips tracks on this album has sinned a great sin. The albums only 38 mins for heaven's sake. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9RQb2HwaCG0

Punk rock doesn't usually float my boat, but the Americana album actually has some great songs on it. Especially "The kids aren't all right" and "she's got issues".
Couldn't stand listening to the whole album though, sorry.

Tom Waits - Fumblin with the blues
One of my favourite blues tunes of all time.
