So Crazy, It Just Might Work!

Hello guys, I just got a really crazy idea.. and since I'm graduating in 2 weeks, perhaps it could be a graduation gift!

So heres the idea.. I know that all the members here are all from totally different parts of the globe.. so I was wondering, and thought it would be neat if you could all send me a postcard in the mail!

It would be a great gift. No reply address will be necessary, just your online name, and a neat message. I'm hoping to get a great turnout from this.
You guys are like my family. Your the only ones who actually have something in common with me. Noone here maps for HL.. so, all my friends are, meh, when it comes to HL.. forget about it. So, in a way, this is also kind of a thank-you. This sites been great.. I have made so much friends here.. Thanks.

So please.. this would make an awesome graduation gift!

Err, I might if I remember to buy a postcard.

Besides, trans-atlantic mail = ZOMG EXPENSIVE. It'd require like 20 stamps.

Still, mailing it to you is going to be a bit expensive for most of us.

I might send a field of dreams postcard though. You know... sence I live 10 miles from it.

Lol if I had money I'd send a card. If I was rich I'd fly to your house to say hi happy birthday here's your cookie and then leave.

If I were gates, id fund an awesome grad party for you and fly up to see it. maybe even give you a Porche carrara 4 or some other nice European car as a gift.

If my family was planning a vacation to canada this year I might take a cab or train up to where you are and stop by quick. but sadly, we only seem to go every other year.

but since niether of those is possible right now, I'll just send you a post card. And come on all you money grubbers, its a GIFT. your supposed to spend something on it. and one stamp gets me a postcard from my annoying uncle in germany. Im sure you can afford a euro and a half stamp to /gratz Unbreakable at his graduation.

/me looks into that "if I were bill gates" thing some more

Sorry Unb, hacking bill gates bank account doesn't seem very easy either.

hahaha, lol Gargly, very true, and thanks for understanding.

I understand if some of you cannot afford it, its ok. But for those who do send me one, thank you very much..

As I said above Doctor Cheese, you don't have to include the return address, but for those who do, I'll be sending back a postcard of P.E.I. :)

if you don't send them first class.

first class is where you put important letters and takes between a day and a week depending one the start point and the end

second class if for books and stuff that doesn't need to be so carefully handled and takes a bit longer

third class is where all the companies put all the spam you get in your mailbox. like Viagra ads, and insurance offers.

at least in america

haha, ya, thats pretty much the same here Gargly. :D
Orpheus, ya, postcards here are really cheap. Thats why I assumed they'd be as cheap elsewhere. But if others can't afford it, its ok. What ever ones I recieve, I'll be greatful. :D

I don't have any money at the moment, but i will get some in 1 - 2 weeks or so, i'll send one then, a little late but hey, better late than never. And also, stamps are cheap, postcards too, saying that you can't afford it is lame... Ask your mother for some money... And also, im in the middle of recording a demo, if i get finished before or somewhere around i get the money i might send you a CD. But i could always mail that... Ops, to much small talk and to many "...".

Estimated 50 pence (?0.50) from UK to Unbreakable, so all you Britains, get rid of your silvers.

actual costs in the UK for those who like to rely on more than 'apparently'

Average 1-sheet a4 in a c6 envelope (a4 folded twice) will be just above 20g, so ?0.72 if you want it to arrive within 2 weeks, surface mail is far too slow.

Yep, Sure is, it's one of my favorite movies, sadly, the movie had nothing to do with the choosing of my forum name. : It was kinda like, I went to the video store, and seen my forum name, and was like, whoa! and had to rent it, and was surprised at the outcome.. :D

So Unb, you had your name before you saw the movie? then you went a a video store and you were just saw a message written on the shelfs to you, then realised it was a movie. so you rented it and it became one of your favorites?

interesting story.

yup, it is a neat story.. I used to play rough sports, but was always smaller than everyone I played with.. but I played just as rough as the others, and never had broken bones and what not.. so thats kinda were it originated from.. lol.

Yea, M. Night Shalmayan is genius
