for some reason of late, all of my hl1 mods have stopped working when i try to load them from the custom game menu. does anyone know why and how I can fix it?

How do they not work? Some of mine started crashing a while ago when I tried to start a new game (mostly the ones that used Spirit).

Just try reinstalling it, and make sure you have the latest version (1.1.1.0).

Or if that doesn't work you can make icons on your desktop for all your mods, that's what worked for me, and my friends. We all had that problem from time to time.

they just crash as soon as they are about to load.

Rename your config.cfg to something else(anything is fine) so that all your settings will go back to the defaults when you launch a game. It could be that some kind of weird thing has happned to your settings and is causing problems.

no i know what problem it is, and starting them by the "change game" in HL doesn't work, BUT if you create shortcuts to the mods it will work, trust me.
