Hi everyone, This is my first time making a map, and I've been doing the tutorials here. Whenever I try and run my map, it'll start to go, but then I get an error that I cannot find the filesystem dll to load. I was wondering why I was getting this problem and how and where I can fix it. I think the biggest problem is that I'm using Steam, so it's hard for me to find many half-life files. Some help would greatly be appreciated, since I really want to make a map!

I'm not certain what your problem is, but go into the site comment and suggestions forum and find the one called Tommy's site. It has a link to a good site for errors. If you can find it, type tommy in the search thing at the top. :)

sry I couldn't be more of a help. I'm newish too, but not that new

Didn't have my problem. Maybe I'll just reinstall Half-Life...

Someone else had this problem a few days ago. No ideas from anyone then either.

Reinstalling HL would prolly be a good idea I'm afraid :

This is what I did. When you install steam it relocates some of your hl files to include the hl.exe. Once I got steam installed I reinstalled hl to replace the files that steam moved. everything worked fine after that. I am even using the spirit tool kit with Hammer 3.5 and have model support in the 3d window. So you CAN set it up to work with steam/spirit/hammer.
