The story: You (the innocent bystander) are walking about minding your own business when you see a blinking red light emanating from a nearby alleyway.
When you go to investigate the light stops suddenly with the sound of two quick beeps. You hear a far off a explosion and...
Boom! The invasion of earth has begun and your in the thick of it.
First order of business: Run like hell

(Note: I am NOT trying to recreate the seven hour war.)

So yeah, if this turns out well I'm going to try making a series out of it.

D'oh, guss I'll change the name... Combine invasion?

Anyway, the game will be for HL2. I'm about 40% of the way through and I still need to add entities (lights, 'splosions, physics objects ect.) and some more detail with the brushwork (making buildings look less flat, and chunks of buildings that will be blown off mostly).

I'm uploading screens now so you can expect those in about half in hour (yeah, sucks for me).

EDIT: Ok, this took a bit longer then half an hour, but here we are:

They look dark in the thumbnails, but it's not so bad when you size it up.

Of course, the lights here are just placeholders. And as I said, I will be adding more detail.

And please remember, this is only the second map I've ever come close to finishing. So it won't be great (I'm trying to shoot past "crappy" this time).

The first pic looks the best. Since source textures are so much more detailed, you need more detail to get rid of the emtpy feel.
