Just use the invisable texture, tis blue. no entities. the texture is called invisable.

ur wrong mini, its the funny blue texture.
Posted 20 years ago2004-01-16 20:31:32 UTC Post #12292
light blue is transparent. the normal blue is just {blue.

oh, but there is a texture that is invisable, called INVISABLE (OR however you spell it) and it looks blue, but it is, in fact, invisable.

Just use clip. Its that simple, its invisible by default but you can't fall through it. Its much easier than using {blue and invisible is like water, ou sink through it.

sweet answer. clip is just an invisible blockade, n blue is a brush that can b made invisible and an entity.

No offense to all the worldcraft helpers and worldcraft geniouses out there but I MUST let my feelings out:

You guys sometimes explain things in the most complicated ways possible, for exampl, making a {blue texture an entity and then making it invisible instead of using clip. Think more simply. Once again, no offense.

Ok i've tested the diffrent textures and now lay this on your memory : invisible texture = a black texture ingame,,, transparent didnt exist,,, transculent = u will fall thru a babyblue color,,, and clip was invisible even though the textute had a picture of a face on it (that was wierd but it was the one to work though) thx worldcraft dude !

im a genius? wow, s'news 2 me. the reason i said blue with the ent stuff was cos 1. its past midnight and my bran is going sleepy-sleepy. 2. i read the question wrong.

Hamster, the {blue texture will be black if it isnt an entity. If you want to use {blue isntead of clip don't know why you would) but here is how it works. Change it to a func_wall and set the render mode to texture and set render amount to 255. If it isnt texture then its solid. One of those 2, I forget.

Erm, Make a floor tell it to be func_wall texture it with anything really. set the render mode to textue walla an invisible floor that can have players move around on it.

Well Im used to doing that for fences, hats why I used {blue. But the verdict was clip anyway
Posted 20 years ago2004-01-17 05:34:06 UTC Post #12338
all i needed was the clip texture it worked great thx

Translucent: not recommended, it crashes the game if you use it on some ents.

invisible works for me.
Posted 20 years ago2004-01-17 10:37:59 UTC Post #12368
Hahahaha, he said he would use clip and people are still suggesting textures. Hahahaha.

Invisible sucks. Blue sucks.
Just make clip or whatever texture with RENDER MODE TRANSPARENT and render amount 0
Posted 20 years ago2004-01-17 15:39:55 UTC Post #12431
Don't have to do that, just texture it "clip".
Seventh-Monkey Seventh-MonkeyPretty nifty

Posted 20 years ago2004-01-17 19:39:56 UTC Post #12470
just make a clip or
see im smart too :P
Posted 20 years ago2004-01-17 20:26:39 UTC Post #12478
I just use a solid object with the clip texture! Always works! A word of caution of the clip texture: never assign it to an entity! It crashes!!! :D
m0p m0pIllogical.
