As some of you may know, my computer died on me yesterday. I haven't got that much cash, but I've already ordered a decent one. Now, it comes with an Ati Radeon x1300, and I was wondering; How does that GPU compare to my old 9800Pro?

I read somewhere that the 9800Pro has more pixel pipelines, whereas they are more optimized on the x1300. I'm a wee bit confused here :(

X-3 digit series alone is greater then a 9800. and an X-1600 is quite a jump up from that.

whats the proc your getting anyway?

I'm sure it is, but I'm getting a X1300, not a X1600, which from what I can tell is the mid range card in the X1xx series. The x1300 being the budget card in the series.

I'm far from an expert when it comes to GPU's, but I'm under the impression that more pipelines = better. And my old 9800Pro has 8, whereas the X1300 has only 4.

Dang, where's m0p when you need him?
