howdy all, i seem to run into a problem. I want a plasmatv in my map, but when i use prop_physics the tv ends up on the floor in game. I want it to be destructive in game. Am i using the wrong the prop setting? thx for your help.

We need a little more info, did you place the TV floating in the air in Hammer? If so it will just fall to the floor being a prop_physics. Also, i don't think the TV has gib models, so unless you fake it, you won't be able to destroy it.

If you're looking to make it a proper TV, as seen in HL2 with an actual 'show' and the ability to pull it out of the socket you should seek a tutorial.

I bet he's talking about the plasma TV used in cs_office. It does have gibs.

Anyway, to stop it falling, tick "motion disabled" in flags.

You probably want 'start disabled' - that way it can move and gib. Motion disabled will prevent it from moving at all.

lies. start asleep is the flag you want. doesnt motion disabled not let it fall down at all. asleep means itll fall or break when touched of damaged i believe

As I believe Motion Disabled makes it so it floats where you put it but the gravity gun can pick it up.

Isn't Start Alseep the thing that makes it invisible until you trigger it to awake?

I believe Rabid is correct.

Well, whatever the flag name is, start disabled or start asleep. What you don't want is the flag that makes it so that motion is disabled entirely (motion disabled, afaik.) There's only two flags that deal with the subject at hand anyway, I'm sure you'll figure it out if you haven't already.
