I noticed some people have strike-throughs on their names in the users-online list.

Does that mean they are banned?

nope. it means they've just logged out.

Hover your mouse over names in the onliners box to see what they're up to.

It indicates they've purposefully logged out (using the Logout link under "Me") rather than just wandering off.

Who logs out anyway? I don't see the benefit? Unless they want to raise their log-on count.

Purposeful login count raising FTW. How else do you think I could have gotten to over 3000 by now?

Really though, there's next to no point in logging out, since it happens automatically when you close your browser anyway. I suppose it could be handy if you're paranoid about public computers, though.
