I haven't put any thought into the layout of this map yet, but i just started building, and i have a center courtyard area. I think it looks pretty cool and if i keep the level of detail i could have a really good looking level as a final result. But before i pursue making the rest of the map, i thought i'd throw it out here to see what you guys think. here are some screen shots.

I started with the center four pillars and just built from there. i used the textures themselves to inspire me to create the rest.
Any criticism is appreciated :)

Interesting architecture but please try to take pictures on full graphics since you don't have to keep it on for longer than a few seconds to snap.

I also suggest a more yellow'y glow in the skies lighting.

I'm pretty sure that my graphics are on max Habboi. I'll grab a yellow sky texture and I'll put the buildings in that I've been working on. thanks.

Well they're not full. i don't have any antistropic or whatever its called.

You should definitely kick up anisotropic filtering when taking screenshots. Antialiasing will blur textures to prevent them from appearing blocky, and anisotropic filtering will reprocess those textures to reduce the blur without reversing the effect of the antialiasing.

As for the map, it's a good start. I can see the area pictured as one of the bomb sites, with wings extending off in each of the four directions where the CT's/T's would start.

Nice, except the lighting. I'd suggest darker enviorment lighting, like night, dawn or dusk. This way you can add torches or other light sources that will make the lighting more intresting.

Type jpg quality 99 or something similar to that in Console. Just type jp and console will guess it.

That's exactly what i was thinking about. And a dusk map is a good idea. I started work on one of the alleys branching off the main section today.

Just the basics for now. I'll add some more detail in a bit. Now that i have decided to work on it, i have to come up with a layout. So i'll keep working toward a useful layout.
I'm still getting used to the insane amount of detail needed for source maps. So any criticism on what i have already is still appreciated
