Okay... I'm tring to make a de / Bomb map for Counter Strike 1.6.

I have my bomb site, and I have my area where the bomb(s) should be planted.

However, the radius is HUGE!
I tried putting in an info_map_parameters entity and set my bomb_radius anywhere between 1 to 500+.

No matter how small I make this thing... the bomb explosion is CRAZY.
I have to be literally 600+ units away (HAMMER Units) from the bomb site to be safe.

I know cs_chateau has a very small bomb radius... but I can't seem to duplicate it.

Could someone please tell me why the IMP is not working for my map?

Dunno. when i always make my maps i never have such a problem, maybe check your console when in your map for error messages or the compile window. dunno.

If that doesnt work then maybe try:
-----Some Tips-----

1. Tie the walls around the bomb site to a func_wall so that anything like bullets or the bomb explosion cant get trough (if you have any walls around there)

2. The smaller the magnitude you set the smaller the explosion.

3. You know The crates and the stuff you tied to func_breakable witch explodes when the bomb does (that is if you have any) maybe reduce their ammount or magnitude.

Explosions go through walls in CS, for the record.

I've set my crates/items to explosion of about 1, and my explosion radius to 1, and I still get explosions that go roughly 700 units wide.

I really don't know whats going on here.
Is this some kind of bug with Hammer or the CS program?

It might be based on values between 0 and 1. It's worth a shot.

So incorrect it's funny.
2. The smaller the magnitude you set the smaller the explosion.
No shit...
3. You know The crates and the stuff you tied to func_breakable witch explodes when the bomb does (that is if you have any) maybe reduce their ammount or magnitude.
See above.

Anyway, aside from that madness, World Crafter's suggestion sounds quite possible to me, seeing as several other entity properties work in this fashion.

For the record.
It's a bomb for crying out loud. why would you want the radius smaller?
The punishment for the Ct's not defusing (or for that matter letting the T's plant) is a giant bomb going off.

Ah HA!
I actually managed to find out how this stuff works now!

Yes... the bomb radius and the breakable magintudes do work...
They just don't work for the first round...

I set my explosion radius to 1 and magnitude to 1...
1st round, I died even if I was 900 units away from the site !!!
2nd round, I stood a few meters away from the bomb site... I lived ???

This is what I call a HUGE bug in either the HAMMER or CS 1.6 program.
I literally have to run faaaar away for the first round, and my map is a building several stories up, so if I plant in the basement, I have to be on like Level 4 to be safe... LAME

Anyways, I hope this info will be useful to anyone else who might have problems like this.

Hammer is just the editor, it's obviously not a bug in that. However I have a hard time believing that it's a problem in CS 1.6 either, as I've never seen it before and I can't think what the hell it would be the result of. :

I'd just try to match the magnitude, and the radius to the big explosion you say happens the first round... so then you wouldn't really see the difference. And besides it is a bomb you know, its not just gonna be some small explosion.

That's what i'm saying.

Noobish, after the 2nd round explosion goes off, try to restart counterstrike and try it again. And see if the bomb explosion stays at 1.
Maybe it's one of those parameters that needs to run in-game before saving to the map? Know what i mean? Kinda like node graphs
