Which do you prefer? I can't decide, really.

Sven Co-Op:
Pros:
-Enemies
-NPCs
-Fairly fun maps

Cons:
-Most of the Sven Co-Op mapping community sucks, many of the maps are just generic c1a0-textured places that load part 2 three minutes into the game
-Not as many players

Natural Selection:
Pros:
-More players
-Awesome graphics and sound

Cons:
-Harder to get into
-Aliens going "Lifeform's under attack" gets annoying as hell
-You die incredibly quickly

What do you guys think?

Sven coop is a game that takes no skill to play, therefore, it is number one on my list of "Worst Half-Life Multiplayer / over hyped HL games ever".

I hate it with a fiery passion.

NS on the other hand, isn't original in any type of sense. However, the way the game is executed and played is very well done, and is made for hundreds of hours of fun.

In the end, though. They aren't the same game in any type of sense, other then they're both multiplayer.

With my bias, however, NS wins hands down.

IMO, in ways Sven Co-Op is just HLDM (in fact they couldn't figure out how to ally players, which is why they bleed when hit by a teammate), but with the nice blue interface and they STOLE TFC's command menu.

But that's just me...

...personally in NS you die as quickly as you do in CS, and in first person as a Skulk, your view is too close to the ground to be truly effective.

You're just not use to the game. Skulks can be one of the best to use if you get enough practice in.

Maybe the FPS console command is tweaked in NS or something. Feels like a bazillion million FPS. Or at least, for 60 (capped) FPS, it doesn't feel as 60 FPS-ish as other HL1 games.

They "stole" the TFC medkit as well. It's still a fun game.

Yeah Dave, that they did. Although in TFC you can "heal" the air. In Sven Co-Op, the medkit will only move if a teammate is in front of it.

Never got into NS, don't much care for the Source one, either. Sven-Coop is a lot of (pointless) fun, though I haven't played it in some time.

You're a god damn retard. Sven-Coop is about co-op, it's not a "skill-based" game.
I like both mods a fair deal. NS is the slightly more well-made and flashy one while SC has an, in my opinion, nicer and more open community.

You really can't compare the two because of how different they are, but I prefer NS.

SC though I haven't played in years. I have a lot of memorable moments with my LAN buddies. NS bored me a little.

Sven Coop really is a Hl1 custom game where you can Coop through custom levels.

I never played Sven Co-op, I dunno, just never seemed fun. NS isn't my type of game either, but it's well made.

Sven Co-op is hours of pointless fun with the right players. I'd go with SC, though maybe that's because I've never played NS.
