I was thinking, since Chickenfist made a great mod recently, that so maps could be found easily in the Map Vault, to change the ? for HL2D maps to some sort of 2D with a background color instead, for example, how Half-Life maps use the HL symbol with orange background, so maybe 2D with a white background.

If you haven't seen HL2D yet, it's in the 'Maps and Mods' section of the forums in 'Flat-Life HL2D'.

That's just my idea.

I'm all for it, though if we do make a HL2D icon, we'll also probably have to make ones for NS, The Specialists, SvenCoop and more.
Don't think there's much trouble in making those extra icons, though, so yeah, I say go for it.

And not just that, but also icons for Portal, TF2, Ep1, Ep2 and whatnot.

Gimme access and i'll do it.

Well it's no use doing it yet until we get it all sorted on TWHL3, the vault.. 'tags' are most likely going to change significantly and then they'll probably only be for the major games/mods.

I like the idea myself, wouldn't be hard to implement. We'll/I'll get back to you on this.

EDIT: To the best of my knowledge there is only one HL2D map out at the moment, so it'll probably be a case of when/if the mod picks up in popularity.

Then whats the point in uploading new smillies and not uploading new map vault icons?

Smilies are being used. Why don't we make a Ricochet icon while we're at it?

Oh, by the way, are we going to be updating the little icons themselves? I think they're extremely hard to see right now.

They will probably be updated, yes.
