Hello everyone, i just recently started doing mapping, im not good, nor even medicore. Still learning, and I've got the basis on what my idea is. but still working on my test map, to see what i need to improve on, Probably everything. I was reading a very good tutorial but it doesnt show how you get to the useable prefab list.

Can anyone help me please?

First up: what game are you mapping for?

A lot of people here will probably tell you that you shouldn't use prefabs and I would agree with them: they really are more of a hinderance than a help.

Then you want models. Or Props. Make a point entity and call it a prop_static. This is the basic static proop it just sits there and does nothing. Under model, hit browse and you can search for which model you want. Hit apply, and viola! You should have a prop in your map

This tutorial is for HL1 not for HL2. I recommend you making your own prefabs and objects, you will learn more and quickly. I give you some useful keys.

If you want to align textures just select a face and press Cntl + Right click on another face. you can use Alt + Right click too, it does same thing but in a different way.
