Hi. Im JeffMOD. I have been wondering this for a while, so here goes. In HL1 SP, you get saved games called Blast Pit, Xen, Forget about Freeman, etc. when I save games on custom maps, i get the name, eg. USSc0a0, NSc0a1, Choppermap, or whatever the map is called. How do you get HL to give a scripted name for your custom map saves (or code it into a MOD)Map names get old really fast. PLEASE HELP ME! :hecu:

I'm not entirely sure. However its not something thats bothered me as its not essential to a MOD's gameplay / mechanics.

Personnally I only ever use quicksave and quickload anyway.

Have you tried changing the Map Description / Title in Map > Map properties?

Thanks for the input. I have tried the Map title in hammer. It just seems odd, is all. If I play the original HL maps in my MODs, I get the new chapter title on the old maps, but I can't set it to work with MY maps. If you guys figure it out, please lemme know.

Try changing the Chapter Title Message, also under Map > Map properties.
