After being sick of running Crysis with a low frame rate, I decided to look around for something to improve performance whilst maintaining a frame rate above 20 frames. I stumbled upon Cuban Ultima Doom Arch Assassin Taowolf Sword's Custom Crysis Config v2.21

This config contains 6 levels of quality and an improved ToD (Time of Day) which adds more realism. To anyone who has Crysis this is a must as it really does improve performance and image quality. (For those who also have Warhead, there's an optimizer on that page).

I'll be the first to say it;

Crysis suxx lol!

yes there are loads of optimisation scripts for Crysis that actually look better and work better than the semi-default options.

and no, Crysis doesn't suck. Although the multiplayer does.

Have you finished the game ? It's not that bad :) . I personally felt like " " when playing it.

I lost interest pretty quick, too much fiddling with the powers

I actually enjoyed Crysis. Yes, it's incredibly standard gameplay and story-wise but I dunno, it's a very well-made standard game. The moderately amusing special powers (and incendiary ammo!) and exceptional graphics help too.

It's more shit than Halo...

Ok, its not. But it's damn close.

The graphics are awsome, but the gameplay is stale and the story is lame.
Still Better than Halo, and it's fans are passionate. For some reason.

Sometimes I stay and I'm thinking and thinking... it's obvious that we can tell which game is shit and which is not, but I can't explain myself how you can judge a game like crysis. Now it's a normal game, but back in 2007 it was kinda revolutionary. You don't treat the game like this, think of half-life1.
Or, think of doom2. Nowadays it's lame , without a story and totally arcade style. But I still enjoy it at times.
This week I played like crazy doom2 on multiplayer(with zDaemon), and Heretic with an optimized graphics engine ( lighting, high-res textures and dynamic lighting). When my appetite for this oldies but goldies is over (because it comes and comes again :D), playing Crysis or another modern game like hl2 will give me beautiful visual feelings.
You just need to balance your game diet. It's just like food. Don't eat the same type of food everyday.

In my opinion, if games don't have a good storyline, then they are worthless. Graphics do not matter, but are nice.

That is why I take great games, like Deus Ex, and load it with enhanced graphics mods.

You can't really add storyline enhancement to a graphically pretty game. It just doesn't work that way.

I agree with you wholly. If it doesn't have a storyline that ingages you and tells an interesting story, It's just not worth playing. Graphics are a plus, and gameplay is a given, but the storyline is among the 3 most important parts of a game (Sound and gameplay being the other two)
There are exeptions, of course, like any other rule; Simulation games, Sandbox games, and platformers don't need a storyline at all (platformers need at least a thin storyline, but Mario is still engaging without an in-depth one)

Shit.

Edit: Shitty Shit.

Seems like one of those games that screams to be modded with something nice and innovative.

P.S. Shat. <_<

You guys are retarded, stop lumping graphics off as if it?s not part of gameplay at all. If you actually give it some thought.

New generation graphics convokes new elements of gameplay.

Basically though, I've only heard that storyline gameplay sucks, but I also believe it has a hugely versatile level editor, does it not? Make something better you whiney bitches.

It would take a lot more than adding a few more hills. Like, coding everything from scratch for instance. :rly:

That is always a terrible argument. It basically denies everybody the freedom to critique a product, who hasn't done it themselves. That is, a much, much larger percentage than the developers. It alienates the target audience.

What new elements of gameplay would that be? The shooting mechanics, the suit system, the vehicles... they all behave about as well as they did in the games that introduced them 10 years ago. They're dated and lacking refinement, to put it simply.
