I'm trying to buy TF2. It's only 2 euros. But steam says :
There seems to have been an error initializing or updating your transaction.
What happened ? 20 minutes I bought it as a gift for a friend and now it rejects me ?! :(

If you're using paypal, it occasionally stops working for a while. I don't know why; possibly high traffic load?

Try again in 20 mins.

No, I'm using my Visa debit card.

[EDIT] WHAT THE FUCK. Ok. Valve oficially sucks. Sucks. SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKS.
Suddenly, the deal is over, tf2 costs again 14,99 euro.

Maybe they don't like you... But I doubt it. If you ask nicely and explain what happened, they might let you buy it for the sale price.

Well, I think that was the problem. I got scared there's something wrong with my credit card. It seems I just missed the promotion.
No problem. I'm going to humiliate myself and implore valve in an email to let me buy it at the promotion price. Too bad I can't really do this :) (but I think if I'd be good enough, I'd break their hearts :D).

NO. Because exchange rates are extremely high. Valve is not fair at pricing.
1 euro = 4.2 lei ( 2,8 mid-sized breads).
1 $ = 2.8 lei (1,8 mid-sized breads).

I actually have a principle : I don't buy anything from steam that costs more than 10 euro. I'm just wasting my money.

Of course Valve doesn't give a shit about how people earn money in Romania and our exchange rates. Often I only get like 12 euro in a month from my parents.

I have a principle too: don't buy anything from Steam.

Right now I spare 150 ? of which not a single cent will be spent in Steam. I'd rather buy a new camera, my current one is not working properly lately.

On a second thought, maybe I would spend 2? on TF2.
