How do I compile in Windows7

is there some kind of secrete?!

I've been attempting to compile A map all day.. all.. friggen... day..

So far, in every map (except the most basic box without sky textures or many entities) keeps locking up during vis..

everytime with vis..

the one map.. originally would compile all the way through until it explained to me there was a max_clipnode error in it..

but after I've solved that THAT one won't even make it past vis.
my problem blunt.

Everytime I go to compile a map, it (valve hammer editor 3.5/7/whatever) will lock up.. ultimately leading to me having to force crashing (or it just eventually crashing the cpu) during vis.. and only vis.. and always vis

I've attempted with zoners 3.4 / 5.1(if thats the newest one), silencers 3.1 tools... AND fresh install compiling tools

What, am I doing wrong here.. PLLLLEEEEAESE?

hmm.. this one crashes during bsp..

..and then crashes the game trying to load it

Expected.. but equally retarded.

Are you sure it locks up, maybe it's just working? A badly built map could take an hour or more to compile.

And how are you compiling it, from Hammer? If so, try to compile with a batch-file instead.

He said the Compilator doesn't run on 64 bit. At least version 1.02 doesn'nt.

Make sure you use tools that are compatible with 64 bits systems. Get them here: http://twhl.co.za/forums.php?thread=16333
