Basically... you all suck I'm playing Borderlands on the PC using the 360 controller. It works fine but the only thing I'd like to know is, is there anyway to have the 360 interface when you use the controller like in Mirror's Edge where ENTER becomes the button "A".

Why would you want to? They're both FPS games.

They're also both console games and I've gotten used to using the 360 controller for some FPS games.

You could use a program called JoyToKey (or anything else which does the same thing), it allows you to bind buttons on your controller to buttons on your keyboard. The latest English version is 3.7.9.

We've used Pinnacle Game Profiler to play Guitar Hero III on PC with the Xbox 360 controller, maybe it works with Borderlands. Check it out.

I don't think you two understood what I put up. I'm currently playing Borderlands with the 360 controller, not asking how to use the controller for it (I use Xpadder for everything else). What I'm asking here, is for a way to have the interface the same as on the 360 so where you see "Press ENTER", it'll become "Press A". This feature is probably really unnecessary, but seeing as some game developers put that small feature into their 360 compatible games, I don't see why others don't.

Short of a mod, then, no. It's not possible.

And it's one of the things I hated most about Mirror's Edge. Just because I had a USB controller plugged in (a steering wheel, no less) it wouldn't even let me choose to use keyboard mapping in the GUI.

how about you just buy borderlands for 360 and play it with your 360 controller? or better yet use your keyboard and mouse? lol

I don't get it how people find console controllers better for FPS games than mouse and keyboard. Usually when I watch gameplay videos for console fps games I always laugh how they "aim" near the target. It would be frustrating as hell for me to play like that.

I agree, why play with a controller? I enjoyed playing Fallout 3 much more with a keyboard and mouse than with a PS3 controller.

Finally came to the conclusion that having the 360 hud for a PC game is as useful as trying to ride a bike with no wheels. Reverted back to keyboard and mouse for the sake of logic; PC games = mouse and keyboard. Just still wondering why I actually bothered to come up with that question. +1 useless thinking.

I enjoy third person games a lot more with a game controller though.. Dead space sucked with a mouse, heh.

Platformers are weird with a keyboard and mouse involved. I'm kinda old skool with my platformers.

IMO, FPS are USUALLY they only games that are BETTER on PC. Games like Dante's Inferno, Mass Effect 1/2, Fable 2, etc. are much better on 360.

Speaking of FPS on PC, Fallout: New Vegas is due Fall '10. Teaser trailer is on bethsoft.com
