What do you mean? Like you literally can't turn brushes into entities?

I made brush, right click on it, choose func_wall in drop down list, made it to be solid-no lights, click X to close window, and when I click on that brush it is world ?!? I must say that I have been dealing with VisGroups, maybe that is cause of the problem. I copied that brush into new rmf do the same process, and everything is fine...but in my rmf I can't turn it to func_wall...

What happens when you select the brush afterwards and press Alt+Enter to see its properties?

De-press the ignore button. It's the button with 'ig' on it, next to the ungroup button.
I'll accept payment by money order.

Same thing happened to me years ago before I knew that you could even do that. Ignore is pretty much the greatest tool ever, though.

If you have multiple brushes tied to func_wall at once, (or any other brush based entity) when you click the tool it ignored the entity and lets you edit each brush single handedly without forcing you to move it back to word. If you tie something to entity while using the tool the entity wont come up because of this, but it will be there once you exit the tool.
