So, I'm assuming most of you have been playing Hardcore mode, (I wanted to get a feel for the new mechanics and get three additional playthroughs in first, on for each way you can do the final battle) so here's a question: It does notify you when you need to eat/sleep/drink, right? Because I don't really want to have to keep checking the pip-boy to make sure I'm not hungry/thirsty/tired.

There are elements in the HUD, above the health bar which light up as and when you need to eat, sleep or drink, or have a crippled limb.

SLP - Sleep Deprivation
FOD - Hunger
H20 - Thirst
LMB - Crippled limb

They light up in the standard HUD colour when they begin to affect you (lowered strength, stamina, endurance etc) and turn red as they get worse. The PipBoy gives you a 0 - 1000 meter which you can check.

Just like Rads. Only difference is when you gain/lose SLP FOD or H20 it doesn't have a little bar like it does for RAD. But really, it's not hard at all. Even the changes to stuff like stimpacks over time, really not that bad.

It's simple really, When U need any of the three, it displays a notification and you will have it on your hud, but you will usually just run into random beds, water and food constantly along the way so you will rarely actually have to search for it.

Food is the only one you HAVE to have to worry about on your own. Beds and water are always freely available.
Some water just has a bit of rads...

worry about food? not at all. Throughout the 40 hours it took in my first play-through I had the food hud icon come up only twice.

Cause a lot of the healing is done by food. :P

Okay, good to know that it does show up when you're affected by it
Because I have yet to be affected by it.

New Vegas crashes 5 seconds into the end video. Even if I restart. Great,

you're not missing anything, all it is, is a bunch of either sad or comedic cut-scenes of all the people within the new vegas world, depending on did they die or not (or were their problems resolved or not).

Not missing anything? You mad?

It's awesome to see the consequences of every action you made summed up like that, and it's a really good length. Almost 5 minutes.

There are variables for everything. What you did, what you did to your companions, what your companions did, the sidequests you did, the choices within choices that you made. I mean, there is probably about oh... at least a few hundred different combinations of endings.

I tried altering one thing in the ending to see if it made the end work. Not sure why I thought it would, but luckely it did. In the second last conversation I chosed to throw the guy off the dam (trying to avoid spoilers) When I did this, I was allowed to see at least 1 minute of the video before it crashed. Awesome idea of ending a game I must say. I loved how all my small actions made a difference. Shame I still cant see all of it

The game engine that runs FO3 and New Vegas is VERY picky about each and every detail of your hardware and software. If they make a new Fallout in the future, it definitely needs a brand new game engine (or to reuse someone else's).
This explains why it runs FLAWLESS out of the box for some, and needs all kinds of patches, updates, 1st and 3rd party, to run anywhere close to stable.

It's pretty BS.

If my memory does not deceive me, the next Elder Scrolls and Fallout game from Bethesda will be using the (yet to be released) Rage Engine. :)

Let's hope it has everything the Gamebreyo engine has, plus an editor that doesn't suck! (Either it has a higher-than-normal learning curve due to the complexity and the documentation sucks, or it's just plain bad. I'm not quite decided on which is the case)

I fell in love with this game.

First time around is definitely a slight learning curve. Still getting used to the entire idea of the game. Mostly the plot.

I've come to the conclusion that going from Mass Effect 2 to this game was a bad choice.

There was so many things in Mass Effect that I wanted to be in Fallout, mainly the dialogue. It kinda made me skip a lot of it, for some reason. I just got bored too easily.

That being said, I just did my first play through. I sided with the NCR with the help of the boomers and Brotherhood of Steel.

Didn't particularly like the ending, but oh well.

Also, I did that one perk that makes weird stuff happen, whatever it's called. I can't say I ever actually noticed anything weird.

I'm going to play through again. I think being evil in this one will be fun.

ONE LAST THING:
I wanted to be neutral. Apparently playing through with the NCR makes that impossible, because every one you kill gives you good karma. I ended up being very good and it pissed me off.
