Does anybody know a good audio converter so I can edit my mod's placeholders? So far, ive just been using the one on HLDJ and it sucks.

Audacity is probably the most popular, and it's free.

You can also try Goldwave, but it isn't free. I like Goldwave more.

FFmpeg. As you can see in this list it supports quite a number of formats. The command-line tool is difficult to use if you're not comfortable working with a command-line interface.

I've got the trial version of Goldwave (as far as I know, the same as the retail one, but with a useage limit). I also personally found a way to make that trial last... quite a long time.

i have audcity, how do I convert it so it can make scripted sentences.

When you save it, save it as 11025 khz, 8 BIT, MONO wav.
