How do you switch from normal light to a fast strobe light using a button? thx

You can't as far as I know, just give two lights the same name and put them in the same place, with one starting on and set to "Normal", the other starting off and set to "Fast strobe". Trigger their shared name and they'll switch over.

or it'll break because halflife will get confused, it loves to do things like that

Use Spirit of Half-life, it can be done definately in this editing mod.
