We need a way to keep track of comment sections on different pages of the site that don't show up on the front page.

This should be a flexible functionality like the track thread option. By that I mean we can either be notified by email, or Notifications or the PM inbox( in which case, create a separate category in the PM inbox just for notifications).
Also, please consider reading again one of my old suggestions about the 3 month thread lock: linky. Increase that to 6 months.
