Hello Twhlers. I'm not sure how many of you celebrate Halloween, but I do! What are your plans / costumes / carvings this year?

Me, I have 2 costumes (one of which i will not post a photo of). One is for a party, and the other is a running gag with my friends based off a SNL video (the one you won't see :walter: )

So last Friday, my friends and I had a PumpkinPumpkinPumpkin night. We made a keg out of a pumpkin, tapped it, filled it with pumpkin beer, then drank said pumpkin beer while carving pumpkins.

Here's the end result of that night:

I'd really like to pay my friend to make Latch's hoodie so I can somewhat dress up as him, but she's been super busy over the past while because of life.

Ah well, I guess I have to find something last minute to wear as usual. `-`

Halloween falls on my niece's birthday so the last few years it's just been a birthday party with some Halloween twists.

Not this year though. She's 4 and wants to go trick or treating, so I'll be sitting in the dark, ignoring the doorbell and waiting for the Half-Rats: A Fever Dream download link to appear. :P

I got a jacket shortly after Halloween last year which looks very similar to the one worn by Travis Bickle in Taxi Driver. Since I already have clothes similar enough to the rest of that outfit and I wouldn't mind cutting my hair for a costume, it's now my go to idea for if I go to any kind of costume party.
The way things are going though, that's probably going to have to wait another year.

Might go hunting with a cousin and a couple of his buddies, and a barbecue afterwards; no other special plans. Looking at the weather forecast, i'll probably be inside enjoying the weekend between door shifts.

Half-Rats is on my playlist as well. Also, i'd like to catch up on few more X-files episodes before the new series comes out. If anyone knows some enjoyable Halloween horror movies, i'm all ears.

I know, right? You'd barbecue them first, not go eating them raw. Weirdo.

I used to wonder about the resulting mess until I was told there are artificial pumpkins specifically for carving. And the thing in your photo kind of looks too homogeneous and isotropic to be an actual pumpkin, so I'm guessing you're using the hi-tech pumpkins.

I'm so hardcore on Halloween I'll be dressing as a student and taking an exam.

Not sure what you're talking about there stu.
Every year i go to the same farm, pick a pumpkin off the vine and pay for it.

Then you open the top, scoop out the innards, and carve away.

Then you separate the seeds from the slop and bake them with salt and oil. Super good!

Also - This is my mini disguise for work

Haha that outfit Tet! And awesome Lambda carving! Ftw...

I usually throw a party at our shack on our land. I was death last year to add to the ambience of the party. This year I ended up too lazy and decided I look too old to be Link anymore, so. I'll either be a pirate (easy way out) or an old man as my friends are painting their hair grey and wearing old style clothes.

Actually even though I say i'm too old to be link, I want to sew a tunic together to complete my costume I started years ago.

I'm probably just going to my brother's place with friends and taking an uber in to town.

Haha that stash is priceless Tet! Also, GREAT WORK on dems carvings :lambda:

I daydreamed about going to work as rollervader or a naughty police women drag queen, but thought better of both :)

My half-arsed attempt at Ron Weasley. I had a cold but I still had fun at the Halloween theme day at my school. Got well drunk that night. Sadly not on butterbeer.

Damn it! Missed this one. I sat with wine next to me, with my fingers poised, waiting to answer installation and bug queries. I usually stay in on Halloween.
