Hello i'm rather new on this site and stuff, something been bothered me for quite a while as I was unable to find it on google but, remember the door that leads to test chamber? after you take the HEV Suit, barney opens it, now the question that bothers me is: How was possible to make the door be unlocked after the player got the HEV suit?

Been also decompiled the map to look into it but i'm still unable to tell what makes it be unlocked.

Thing is GoldSRC does not have an I/O, it only uses Values like 0.

I know how it is done in Source but don't know in GoldSRC.

Masters and optionally, multisources. I believe there's a tutorial on TWHL somewhere.

Doors are entities that can have masters, which control whether they are locked or unlocked. If the master entity is turned off, the door is locked and vice-versa.
So you could also select a Locked Sound and an Unlocked Sound, just to have an audio confirmation that the door is locked/unlocked.

Now, the master entity could be anything that has an on and off state, e.g. buttons. I don't know how the scene with Barney was exactly done, but this should give you an idea.

That should do it then, I will look around for that tutorial you mentioned if I will even find it.

I will be experimenting with the master and see if I can pull what I wanted.
