ive screwed up my hammer editor somehow.
i had completed a map and was about to compile it , i clicked compile and then my comp restarted itself, odd i thought but waited until it came back on then tried again to compile etc.then when i tried to compile it was screwed up.
The expert compile window, was empty which it shouldnt be, and when i compile it comes up with a blank box and is apparently done and occasionaly when i try to compile it crashes hammer.
any idea's?

i have been using hammer for about a year or so.
and havnt changed/reformated once and all my build programs are ok i think.
and why did my comp restart?

It could've just been that you ran out of memory. Try adding some more virtual memory and attempt a re-compile. Also, see if you can successfuly compile pieces of your map to eliminate any major problems that are ruining the rest of the compile. -Like a leak ;)

ill try to explain it better.
i tried to compile a map and it restarted my comp,
then i tried to compile again but there was no techy info in the expert window where it has options normal compile and start expert compile,
and then in the actual window where it compiles it didnt have any writing just a blank box.
if u tell me how to take screenshots of windows ill show u the windows.

Press Print Screen, then paste into IrfanView. There's a thread on it.

On your keyboard, just above the 'Home', 'Delete' buttons is a key that says 'PrintScrn' or 'Prntscrn' or soemthing similar to those. As for Irfanview, search the forums for it.

Actually, you do not need to use Irfanview. You can just use Paint if you wish. Here's how:

1. When the window that you wish to capture comes up, hit 'PrintScreen'.

2. Open Paint

3. Edit>Paste

4. Save the image as a .jpeg file for size reasons.

5. Put them in here!

Host them on a website, then read.
