i wanted a weapon to play a walking animation to the gun when the player is walking but i dont know how to make it since i dont know how to state the speed of the player

You don't create a weapon walking animation. The weapons are attachments attached to the primary model itself. There you control how they hold and control their rifles during any animation they play.

If you refer to a specific animation where the npc or player touches his gun it applies to the same principle.

Do you want your character to like move the weapon sideways when running like in hl2?
Is it some type of special animation like animated jiggle for a wepon part or some animation that you want the weapon to play when the player is walking?

yea i wanted the weapon to play a walking animation when the player walks in any direction, and maybe a jumping animation when the player jumps, it isn't anything related to viewmodel bobbing but related to the animation, i know how to modify the bobbing (kinda) but i wanted something a lil different and smoother so i wanted the weapon to move when walking
