I was trying to use Gordon's model in a cutscene but it seems the model is positioned differently. The origin isn't to his feet but more to his stomach area, so the model sinks to the ground.

Is there any way to overcome this without altering the model? I am trying to use only the base game resources.

Try putting him and the scripted sequences on an NPC clip.
I don't know if that exists in goldsrc though.

I don't think that'll work. Either it'll give a model stuck in geometry error or it would appear to be floating above the actual ground.
