There were 5 entries in the talking scientist compo? It does not seem to be honourable to participate in compos at the TWHL. The idea with the "the winner chooses next topic" is quite cool though there should be some kind of ensurance that it's nothing stupid. I think that it'd help if the amount of compo entries a user had sould be seen in the profile.

Nah, when you've entered a compo you can also release the map... Plain simple solution.

whoops! not logged in again. It simply annoys me that only 5 people bother making a map for this compo. I'd have participated too, but I was still busy with the BL compo and then this thing with my Mainboard happened. I think it should be shown if someone is still actively mapping.

Don't get me started! I was in the middle of my exams and still managed to finish my compo entry...

However:
I only have limited Admin rights.
I don't have access to most of the site, and changes like this must be done by Atom.
This includes posting the compo winners, links, trophies and maps.
It also includes the actual compo page.
Not sure that I would want access either too much work.

As for what has happened to the results for the last one? or the post for the next one....

why doesn't he come here? I just don't get it. He own the best Half-Life site on the web and he doesn't come. Just wierd, although he does change his journal without logging in periodically.

Maybe the admin right should spread over more than one moderators.

as long as he's somewhere on the internet there is a big chance to get him here via email. at long enough to make andy and 7th something like semi-admins. (afaik they're the most dedicated moderators here).

uuuuh, the last time i had mail contact wiht him it took a week to respond. then i send a reply and never got one back, tryed it serval times, face it, he wont be back

@ pepper: there must be a way to get atom back here. he can't just leave TWHL alone without destining a successor.

I don't think it should have links to all your compo entries on your profile...because in a year or so, I'd have several entries and no trophies. If people want their map to be seen, they can upload it in the vault.
